The present invention concerns a new method for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, disorders or pathologies which develop with alteration of kinase p38, preferably for diseases, disorders or pathologies of auto-immune, inflammatory or tumoral origin (and more preferably for rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus), based on the detection and in vitro quantification of the phosphorylation of the Y323 of P38a and the regulation of the activity thereof, respectively, by means of use of a phosphospecific polyclonal antibody of said residue. In this way pharmaceutical compositions useful for said treatment and diagnosis and which comprise a specific polyclonal antibody of said proteinaceous phosphorilate form are included.
