Use of CYFRA 21-1 and osteopontin, as markers for colorectal cancer.

A method for assessing colorectal cancer in vitro, comprising the steps of a) measuring in a sample the concentration of cytokeratin fragment marker 21-1 (CYFRA 21-1), b) measuring, in a sample , the concentration of osteopontin (OPN), c) measuring in the sample the concentration of one or more other optional additional markers, colorectal cancer, d) correlating the concentration determined in step (a) and (b) and, optionally, the (s) concentration (s) determined (s) in step (c) to the diagnosis of colorectal cancer.
