A fastening strip (10, 30) and a gasket (40) for sealing a window in a vehicle, said strip being provided with at least one retaining element (20, 120), the gasket (40) provided with a body of sealing (40A) and a first external clamping side (43) which when used is adjacent to the clamping strip and a second internal sealing side (44) which when used faces a part of the vehicle; and a seal provided with a retainer (41, 47) that receives at least one retaining element (20, 120) from the fastening strip, and which is characterized in that the retaining element (20, 120) comprises a portion of the head configured to pierce the joint.
