The present invention provides preferred, preferably liquid, hard surfacecleaning compositions, compositions withcleaning liquid composition on a substrate, compositions used with absorbentpads and implements and devices for making theprocess of cleaning hard surfaces and/or maintaining their appearance andhygiene easier and more effective. These compositions,along with specific instructions for use are advantageous for removal ofand/or prevention of buildup of soils commonly encounteredon floors, glass surfaces, counters, walls, showers and/or tubs, saidcompositions comprising hydrophilic polymers to renderthe cleaned surface hydrophilic and to improve the appearance when the surfaceis either not rinsed, or when the composition isincompletely removed, specific surfactant, preferably surfactant selected tominimize spotting/filming, optionally specific organiccleaning solvents to provide cleaning and wetting particularly in applicationswhere levels of non-volatiles need to be minimized,and, optionally, anti-bacterial agents for preserving or surface activity andoptionally perfumes for aesthetics.
