The present invention provides a method of differentiatingand proliferating a mesenchymal stem cell into theneural cell by culturing in a medium comprising an epidermalgrowth factor and a hepatocyte growth factor after confluent cultureof the mesenchymal stem cell. The present invention providesmore effective method of differentiating and proliferatingthe mesenchymal stem cell or the mononuclear cell comprisingthe mesenchymal stem cell into the neural cell with a neuron andan astrocyte in terms of time, efficiency and maturity as comparedwith conventional methods.
