METHOD FOR SOLVING APPLICATION FAILURES USING SOCIAL COLLABORATION

A computer-implemented method, system and computer usableprogram code for solving an application failure using socialcollaboration are provided. A search request to search acentral repository of knowledge is received. The search requestcomprises a user identity and an application failure problem tobe solved. The central repository of knowledge comprises dataregarding attempts to solve an application failure problemcompiled from registered users of the central repository ofknowledge. A determination is made as to whether theapplication failure problem to be solved exists in the centralrepository. If the application failure problem to be solvedexists within the central repository, search results forprevious attempts at solving the application failure problem arecollected. The search results are ranked based on a frequencyof access and feedback from users and are grouped according tosocial groupings defined by the requestor. The results aredisplayed to a requestor.
