The present invention addresses the limitations of prior art and meets thecriteriaset forth herein. The invention contemplates a number of improvements to a lowcost, disposable RF-enabled environment monitoring tag that can be attached tothe exterior of or placed within a product, package, article or container tosensethe internal environment of the package at programmed intervals, process andstore the data, and subsequently communicate the environmental data history toan interested party by RF transmission. Environmental variables of interestinclude but are not limited to temperature, vibration, pressure, radiation,shock,light, position and atmospheric pressure.
