An electricity meter capable of minimizing a risk ofdata destruction in case of lightning or surge that involvesimproperly high voltage is provided. The electricity meterincludes a measurement part, an operation part, and aninsulation part. The measurement part includes a detectionunit to detect electricity consumption of an objective systemand a transmission unit to wirelessly transmit datarepresentative of the detected electricity consumption. Theoperation part includes a reception unit to receive thewirelessly transmitted data and an operation unit to processthe received data into data representative of electric energyconsumed by the objective system. The insulation partelectrically insulates the measurement part and operationpart from each other.
