KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER IN A PROJECT ENVIRONMENT

Various techniques for effecting knowledge transfer are provided. In oneembodiment, knowledge transfer tasks are identified through parsing of one ormorerepositories comprising project-related artifacts to ascertain tasks that arerelevant to atransitioning project participant, and that may be further analyzed todetermine whetherknowledge transfer is necessary. In a similar vein, knowledge transferrecipients may beidentified through similar parsing of the one or more repositories to identifyprojectparticipants that are relevant to knowledge transfer tasks, with the resultinglist ofassociated project participants narrowed down to selected knowledge transferrecipientsaccording to their respective ability/availability to receive the knowledgetransfer.Because these processes can be automated, including the use of an interactiveinterface,and based on stored artifacts, the subjectivity and variability of prior arttechniques maybe substantially reduced.
