The invention provides a method of increasing precipitation ofarnmonium bicarbonate solid particles from an ammonia solution in a chilledarnmonia based system for the removal of CO2 from a flue gas, the methodcomprising: adding a promoter including one of an amine and an enzyme to thearnmonia solution, thereby increasing precipitation of ammonium bicarbonatesolidparticles from the ammonia solution.
