A gas generating agent composition comprising a fuel component and an oxidizing agent as the main components, which contains as the fuel component a compound (A) obtained by reacting urea with a metal salt in a molten or dissolved state and having a decomposition initiation temperature of 160°C or above and which gives combustion gas reduced in the contents of carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides and exhibits a low combustion temperature and high combustibility. It is preferable that the gas generating agent composition be applied to a gas generator in the form of moldings.
