A communication system and method, a household base station gateway and a household base station server are provided, and the problem is solved that the household base station is not led in a current communication system. The communication system includes a household base station, a third party network and a household base station gateway. The household base station is used for communicating with the household base station gateway using a first address, and the first address is used for determining the household base station in the third party network uniquely; the third party network is used for connecting with the household base station and the household base station gateway; the household base station gateway is used for making the household base station communicate with other nodes in the communication system using a second address, and the second address is used for determining the household base station in the communication system uniquely. The scheme describes a situation that a household base station accesses to a packet data network, and can make a sufficient use of the household base station.
