Method for detection and localization of luggage trollies in airports and/or the like. It comprises the installation of a receiving and transmitting unit for signals in the exit control points for a pool of luggage trollies, and the installation in each of the trollies of a signals transmitter and receiving device physically and electrically connected to the metal structure of the trolley, which in practice acts as the antenna of the transmitter/receiver device. Useful for the management and control of luggage trollies in an airport and/or the like, thereby detecting and localizing the fraudulent removal of the latter from the monitored zone.
