A METHOD TO IMPLEMENT NETWORK DIRECTORY INQUIRIES AND A NETWORK DIRECTORY INQUIRIES SERVER

A method to implement network directory inquiries is disclosed. The method includes the following steps. The requests for operating network directory inquiries are received. If the data formats contained in said requests, which are supported by users' equipment, are inconsistent with the formats stored in network directory inquiries, the data formats contained in said requests are transformed and said operation is implemented according to the styles of said requests. A concerned network directory inquiries server is disclosed. A user, who uses network directory inquiries, can operate said network directory inquiries even when the formats stored in network directory inquiries are not supported by the user's equipment. The scope of the applications of the network directory inquiries is enlarged.
