A call management system applied to IMS terminals includes: a call management module for integrating the common session control logic shared by the upper layer application services and providing the session control management information for the call session process of an upper layer application module and a network module according to the session control logic; the upper layer application module for initiating and receiving a call session request and performing the upper layer application service according to the session control management information provided by the call management module; and the network module for receiving or transmitting the request and response generated by the performed upper layer application service. Accordingly, also a call management method of the IMS terminal and the IMS terminal are provided. The invention reduced the code redundancy of the session control logic of the application service in an IMS terminal, thereby centralized maintenance of the session control logic is implemented and the principle of function modules multiplexing and layering is realized.
