An instrument panel image display device (1) for displaying an instrument panel image on an instrument panel (2) mounted in a device comprises an image display section (18) for displaying, on the basis of image data into which an instrument image for providing a user with information on the inside and outside of the device is coded, an instrument panel image containing the instrument image, and an image data changing unit (10) for changing a display state of the instrument image to another display state which suits the state of the device out of display states predetermined according to the state of the device. Thus, an instrument panel image which suits the preference of the user and the state of the device is constructed without reducing safety during operation.
