The method involves having an outer layer which is partly arranged on a remuneration layer (15), whose outer surface partly represents the contact surface of the ink to be applied. The remuneration layer is influenced from the outside in such a way that it is influences partially physical and or chemical so that the color stop and or color delivery ability of the printing form targeted is adjustable. An independent claim is included for a printing apparatus.
