The invention relates to the use of an active substance of general formula RSUP1/SUPO - CHSUB2/SUB - CHORSUP2/SUP - CHSUB2/SUB - ORSUP3/SUP, wherein RSUP1/SUP, RSUP2/SUP and RSUP3/SUP have the following meanings, RSUP1 /SUP= unsubstituted or is in a ortho-, meta- or para-position lower alkyl or lower alkoxy substituted phenyl radical; RSUP2/SUP = H, unsubstituted or is in a ortho-, meta- or para-position alkyl or alkoxy substituted phenyl radical; RSUP3/SUP = H, unsubstituted or lower alkyl substituted carbamate radical. The invenntion also relates to pharmceutically acceptable salts thereof, for the treatment and prevention of the deterioration of painful conditions by conditioning inhibiting interneurons.
