Decoupling element for planar waveguide couplings. Known waveguide couplings often have leakage signals which reduce the measurement sensitivity in the short range. One exemplary embodiment of the present invention specifies a waveguide junction for a level radar, which junction has a decoupling element for reducing a leakage signal from a first line to a second line. In this case, the decoupling element is electrically insulated from the lines. Reducing the leakage signal increases the sensitivity in the short range of the sensor.
