Implantable medical device for biventricular stimulation and automatic optimisation of the pacing configuration

The device has a sensor with a distal electrode to collect an endocardiac acceleration signal. A signal analysis unit permits to analyze the signal to determine a peak value function of one of two endocardiac acceleration peaks during an isometric ventricular contraction and a relaxation phase, respectively. An assistance unit for assisting the search of an optimal stimulation configuration has an evaluator unit for determining a respective performance index derived from a peak value for each configuration.
