A light-duty hydraulic bracket for working surfaces in coal mine includes a monolithic top beam (1), a hydraulic support (8), a front extending beam (5) and a front extending beam cylinder (7), a baffle device (9), a sliding element (13, 23) which is slidable on a guide (22, 24) arranged on one side of the top beam (1), a moving cylinder (12) hinged to the sliding element (13, 23). Wherein at least one engagement mechanism is provided between two adjacent top beams (1). The engagement mechanism consists of a moving element (26) which is movable left and right, a sliding element (13, 23) which is slidable along the guide (22, 24) forward and backward, and a connecting element (16) which at one end thereof connects to the moving element (26) and at the other end thereof connects to the sliding element (13, 23). The engagement mechanism provides greater clearance of bracket adjustment by means of the movement of the moving element (26), so that it is easy to adjust the distance between brackets, especially suitable to support uneven top plates.
