A device for holding spherical or nearly spherical objects on floor surfaces comprises a drum made up of wheels (1) next to one another, wherein each wheel (1) comprises two discs (1a, 1b) connected together at a distance that is greater than the diameter of the spherical objects. Provided along the outer periphery of the discs (1a, 1b) are rotatable sleeves (2) mounted therebetween, said sleeves being at an angular distance apart from one another. Further, associated with each wheel (1) is an approximately circular-quadrant-shaped ramp (4) in the form of a narrow cylindrical surface following the periphery, said surface further narrowing near the floor area to form a tongue (4a) and transitioning to an inclined surface (4b) that leads away from the wheel at about half the height level of the wheel (1), said surface comprising an adjacent container (11).
