The mammography device (2) for examining a breast (10) comprises a support plate (12) and a compression plate (14, 18), between which the breast (10) is positioned and compressed during a roentgenographic examination. For the sonographic examination of the breast (10), said breast is compressed between an ultrasonic transducer (20) and the support and/or compression plate (12, 14).
