The invention relates to a bearing for an auxiliary caster for an industrial truck, that comprises a means (10, 11) for fixed mounting on the frame of a nestable industrial truck, and means (14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22) for the at least partial retraction of the auxiliary caster (9) inside the bearing (8). The bearing includes two mounts (12) in which the caster (9) is mounted so as to slide under the action of a lever (19) carried by the bearing (8). The mounts include oblong lumens (15) along which can slide a yoke (16) in which the caster (9) is mounted so as to be capable of free rotation.
