The hydroentangled absorbent composite nonwoven comprises a spunbonded layer (A) that is pre-consolidated by bonded dots, and an absorbent pulp layer (B) in contact with the pre-consolidated spunbonded layer (A). The spunbonded layer (A) comprises continuous microfilaments having a diameter (DI) less or equal to 15 µm, and the density of the bonded dots of the spunbonded layer (A) is higher than or equal to 90 dots/cm2, and more preferably higher than or equal to 100 dots/cm2.Preferably, the composite nonwoven also comprises a nonwoven cover layer (C), in particular a carded layer or a spunbonded layer.The weight of the spunbonded layer (A) is preferably between 7 g/m2 and 35g/m2 ; the weight of the pulp layer (B) is between 10 g/m2 and 50 g/m2; the weight of the cover layer (C) is between 10 g/m2 and 30 g/m2.
