COUNTING SCALE WITH MULTILEVEL HINKLEY DETECTOR

Counting scale with a multilevel Hinkley detector that can recognize the jumps of a very noisy signal s(t) from an average value (standard level) to a new average value. The measured signal s(t) is tested for several hypothetical jump sizes m1 at the same time. A test value h1(t) is established for every jump size using a nonlinear recursive algorithm. By recognizing which test value h1(t) first reaches a threshold value ε, the number of parts that have been added and if necessary removed can be determined.
