Disclosed is equipment for simulating apparel wherein an apparel pressure for bringing the apparel into tight contact with a human body is determined precisely. A fitting section (22) divides a pattern model into a plurality of elements, imparts dynamic characteristics shown by a cloth model to each element, deforms the pattern model by solving the equation of motion of each element using a finite element method, and then fits the apparel virtually to a human body model. The fitting section (22) sets an intermediate model to cover a predetermined part of the human body model, deforms the pattern model to touch the intermediate model and then deforms the pattern model to touch the human body model.
