Method, computer program product and device for creating and processing document files with media-related colour management resources

The method involves controlling of output of a document on output medium e.g. a recording medium. A resource acquisition data and a medium acquisition data are logically connected to each other such that with a change of a reference on an output medium within a document data stream, a change of the reference automatically takes place on a color management resource. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for producing and/or processing a resources-based document data stream (2) a computer program product which produces an operational sequence after loading and running on a computer.
