A method for the detection or diagnosis of a blockage of an impulse line in a pressure measurement transducer (14), and a corresponding pressure measurement transducer (14), are disclosed, in which at least one characteristic value (32) is compared with at least one reference value (34) for the analysis of at least one measurement signal (24, 26) and, depending on the result of the comparison, an action (40) is triggered, wherein the, or every, characteristic value (32) is produced, with the aid of at least single parameters (52) of a model (48) describing the transmission behavior of impulse lines (18, 20) with which the pressure measurement transducer (14) is coupled to a line (12) traversed by a fluid (10).
