The method involves forming a profiled insulating bar (1), and inserting a transversal end (3) of the bar into a profiled metal bar (2) by respectively embedding a back draft structure of a profile (4) and a rib (6) of the end into a housing (5) and a groove (7) of the metal bar. The bar (1) is crimped on the bar (2) to form a complete link between the bars such that an active part (11) partially forming the housing is deformed during crimping so as to make the bar (2) to exert a transversal reaction on the bar (1) via the groove and an additional support surface (12) of the metal bar. An independent claim is also included for a construction bar comprising a profiled insulating bar associated to a profiled metal bar.
