The invention proposes e-mail communication using e-mail addresses including a mobile phone number in the domain part. Such an e-mail address uniquely identifies a particular mobile device in a mobile phone telecommunications network and therefore offers the possibility to offer e-mail communication to a user of this particular mobile device, even if the user has not yet an e-mail address or not yet access to an e-mail account. The invention further proposes to directly or indirectly include personalized graphical or image contents into a respective e-mail for making the e-mail communication more attractive. E-mail communication according to one or both of these proposals might substitute short message communication using SMS or MMS between mobile phones and other mobile devices having mobile phone functionality.
