The device (1) has response receiving modules (3-5) for receiving user response data related to the processing of a part of profile data of a user (2). A response managing module (61) and a content consumption trace managing module (62) aggregate the user responses. An uncertainty estimating module (6) estimates the uncertainty related to the profile data processed according to the received user response data. The receiving module (3) receives different types of user responses relevant to the personalization of services. An independent claim is also included for a method for managing user profile data.
