VISIBILITY METER AND VISIBILITY MEASUREMENT METHOD USING INFRARED RAY IMAGE PROCESSING

A visibility meter and a visibility metering method using infrared image processing are provided to measure the quantity of light left after being dispersed by particles in the air so as to directly measure the quantity of light actually recognized by a person. A visibility meter includes an infrared camera(20) sensing infrared rays emitted from an infrared ray emitting substance(10), an image processor extracting visibility data for visibility measurement from image data, and a case(40) having an opening(41) through which the air flows.
