A CaRma1H1 protein derived from red pepper, a gene coding the CaRma1H1 protein, a recombination vector containing the gene, a transformed plant, a seed of the plant, and a method for increasing the resistance of plant against stress are provided to obtain the plant having the increased resistance against stress. A CaRma1H1 protein derived from red pepper increasing the resistance against stress comprises an amino acid sequence represented by the sequence number 2. Preferably the stress is methyl jasmonic acid (MeJA), salicylic acid (SA), hydrogen peroxide, chitosan, NaCl, cadmium, UV irradiation, drying, low temperature, protein kinase inhibitor or ozone.
