An ex-vessel cooling system for in-vessel retention of pressurized water reactor using refueling water is provided to maintain long time cooling performance in outer wall of a vessel by implementing natural recirculation through floating gate. An ex-vessel cooling system for in-vessel retention of pressurized water reactor using refueling water is installed in a reactor cavity(1) filled with a cooling water. The reactor includes a vessel(2), an ex-vessel cooling well(4), and a space part(3). An ex-vessel cooling structure includes a refueling water tank(8), an injection nozzle(7), an opening(6), and a floating gate(9). The refueling water tank is included to supply cooling water for removing a heat of an outer wall of the vessel. The injection nozzle is installed in the ex-vessel cooling well in order to supply cooling water of the refueling water tank to the space part. The opening is formed in the ex-vessel cooling well in order to overflow cooling water supplied in the space part through the injection nozzle toward the reactor cavity. The floating gate is installed in the ex-vessel cooling well.
