A topology configuration method based on an active node selecting method is provided to activate minimum nodes only by maximally reducing the number of nodes participating in a network as ensuring connectivity and coverage of overall networks, thereby reducing energy consumption of the nodes. An AS(Active Selecting) signal is generated from a sink of a listen node, and the generated AS signal selects a node which is farthest from the sink(S10). The selected active node selects the sink, two nodes nearest to a position for forming a 90-degree angle, and one node nearest to a position for forming a 180-degree angle(S20). The active node selects a neighbor node which sends the AS signal, the two nodes nearest to the position for forming the 90-degree angle, and the one node nearest to the position for forming the 180-degree angle(S30). When receiving the AS signal more than 4 times from the neighbor node, the active node is determined as a relay node(S40). Topology where one relay node connects 4 active nodes is configured(S50).
