Method and System of inserting watermark for H.264/AVC video stream

A method and a system for inserting a watermark for H.264/AVC standards are provided to be easily applied to application areas such as transmission of added information, data authentication and video monitoring because there is no change of a data bit rate before/after watermarking when inserting watermarking to H.264/AVC video and an applied watermark is fragile. A method for inserting a watermark for H.264/AVC standards comprises the following steps. A sign of trailing ones is extracted per at least 4x4 block included in each video sequency of a compress bit stream. The extracted sign of trailing ones is sequentially matched with at least one watermark bit. The watermark bit corresponding to each sign of trailing ones is adjusted according to the watermark bit.
