SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EMERGENCY INFORMATION SERVICE UTILIZING BROADCAST MULTICAST SERVICE NETWORK AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL FOR THE SAME

An emergency information service system and a mobile communication terminal therefor are provided to offer emergency information which must be served to a specific area, in real time. An emergency information service system utilizing a BCMCS(Broadcast Multicast Service) network comprises the followings: an emergency contents server(30) which transmits an emergency service request message including information about a specific area and broadcasting time information to a multicast center(20) of the BCMCS network, and then registers the emergency contents in the multicast center; the multicast center which multicasts the emergency contents through a data service node of a mobile communication network; a CBS center(40) which broadcasts to mobile communication terminals of the specific area through a specific area exchange; and a mobile communications terminal(10) which receives the emergency contents which the multicast center transmits through a downloading process.
