An environment-friendly gabion for a revetment is provided to promote the growth of plants by filling up with rubble and making plants root in a palm member easily. A gabion for a revetment is formed by forming front, rear wall members(20) and right, left wall members(50) on a bottom plate member(10) and dividing up with plural partitions(40) in a rectangular parallelepiped opened upward, and then covering with a cover member(70), wherein a soil erosion control board provided with a draining hole and a fastening hole is formed on the inside of the front and rear wall members, right and left wall members composed of an external wall(51) and a stiffened plate(52) are formed on the right and left sides of the bottom plate member to prevent the loss of filled rubble(100), a fitting projection of the external wall is joined to a fastening hole formed on the stiffened plate with a projecting anti-skid pin(53), and a palm member(71) is coupled to the cover member covering the upper part of the bottom plate member to grow plants.
