摘要

A magnetic recording medium, a hard disc drive employing the same, and a write read offset measurement method of a hard disc drive are provided to compensate WR(Write Read) offset of a magnetic head appropriately by providing a continuous region in a magnetic recording medium such as discrete magnetic track medium and pattern medium. A magnetic recording medium comprises a disc substrate and a magnetic recording layer formed on one or both sides of the disc substrate. The magnetic recording layer includes one or more pattern regions which the recording location is patterned by magnetic material in order to form a plurality of data tracks, and one or more continuous regions(23) formed with the successive magnetic material wherein at least a part of the WR offset measurement pattern for detecting the WR offset is recorded.
