A method for regenerating a protein from the human stroma cell derivative, a method for preparing a water-soluble SDF-1a protein, an expression vector, and the transformed E. coli where the vector is introduced are provided to regenerate a water-insoluble protein into a water-soluble protein. A method for regenerating a protein from the human stroma cell derivative into a water-soluble protein comprises the steps of preparing and expressing a protein containing a column attacher; degenerating the expressed protein to fix it to the column; regenerating the fixed protein; and separating the regenerated protein. Preferably the column attacher is a histidine residue.
