A narrow-band interference canceling method in the ultra-wideband ranging system is provided to remove the narrowband interference by pulse waves using a specific frequency. When a narrow-band interference signal I(t) is betacos(2pifit+Phi), receiving waveforms having the normalized energy are narrow-band interference cancelled waveforms which satisfy the following two equations: wr1(t) is obtained by adding the result of g(t-delta1/2) to the result of g(t+delta1/2); and wr2(t) is obtained by adding the result of g(t-delta2/2) to the result of g(t+delta2/2), wherein the g(t) is the Gaussian monocycle, the delta1 is the result of (N+1/2)/f1, the delta2 is the result of (N)/f1, the N is an integer, the f1 is the center frequency of a band interference signal i(t), the beta is the amplitude of the narrow-band interference signal, and the Phi is the phase of the narrow-band interference signal.
