INFRASTRUCTURE-BASED DIRECT STA-TO-STA DATA TRANSFER SCHEME IN IEEE 802.11E WLANS

A direct data communications method between stations using a polling operation in a wireless LAN environment having efficient link usability is provided to offer infrastructure wireless LAN environment providing high service quality in an infrastructure mode. A DL(Direct Link)-HCCA(HCF Controlled Channel Access) manager of QSTA transmits a DLS connection request message to QAP for DLS(Direct-Link Setup). A standard format is used for the DLS connection request message in IEEE 802.11e. QAP receiving the DLS connection request message transmits the destination location QSTA. In case the resource reservation fails, a TSPEC resource reservation failure code is marked in a reason code and loads DLS response message.
