A DISPLAY APPARATUS THAT HAS A VIRTUAL INTERACTION INTERFACE AND A METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING THE INTERFACE

A display apparatus having a virtual interaction interface and an operation method thereof are provided to display a virtual screen in space and enable a user to virtually touch the screen, thereby naturally controlling an object according to a user's input. An imaging means(105) includes a mark image(S1) for location recognition. A display processing unit(1031) recognizes the mark image and then outputs a virtual screen(1011) in space. An image interface processing unit(1033) detects the touch of a user through the imaging means. The touch is generated as the user touches the virtual screen with one hand. A command recognition unit(1035) controls an object outputted on the virtual screen according to the detected motion. The display processing unit comprises a mark recognition part, a matrix calculator and an object visualization part. The matrix calculator calculates the location of the virtual screen based on the location of the recognized mark image in the matrix manner. The object visualization part outputs the virtual screen at the calculated location.
