A base station and a macro diversity uplink resource allocation method of the base station for maximizing efficiency of resource utilization are provided to improve the efficiency of resource allocation by allocating resources and dividing cells. A plurality of directional antennas is installed according to the specified direction. Each cell is divided to an inner region and an external region. The divided cell is classified according to the direction of the directional antenna. The base station allocates resources according to the direction of the directional antenna.
