A transmission-type microfocus x-ray tube using a carbon nano-tube field emitter is provided to improve the transmission efficiency and the brightness of X-rays by using an electron beam focusing optical system and a transmission X-rays target. An electron gun unit(1) comprises a tip-shape carbon nano-tube cathode electrode, a gate electrode, and an anode electrode(21). The gate electrode is bent in direction of the cathode electrode, and the aperture(22) of the anode electrode is formed. A vacuum chamber(2) is connected to the electron gun unit while being grounded electrically. An electron beam focusing optical system(3) is connected to a backplane of the vacuum chamber and condenses electron beam. A transmission X-rays generation unit is connected with the backplane of the electron beam focusing optical system, and an X-ray is generated when the condensed electronic beam is collided with the transmission X-rays generation unit.
