The present invention relates to a high temperature carbon dioxide absorbent and a method for producing the same which are regenerated to absorb carbon dioxide selectively after absorbing carbon dioxide from a high temperature mixed gas in the range of 450 to 800 o C including carbon dioxide. . Specifically, calcium oxide (CaO) is used as a carbon dioxide absorbing active material, and calcium aluminate (Ca 12 Al 14) is used as an additive to secure the carbon dioxide absorption capacity and the carbon dioxide diffusion path during repeated carbon dioxide absorption and regeneration of the absorbent. It relates to a high temperature carbon dioxide absorbent using O 33 ) and a method for producing the same.
