An apparatus for controlling the water pump driving of the automatic processing device of the excrement of a patient and weak and old people, and its method are provided to allow improve the crushing efficiency of the excrement and the local washing rate. An automatic processing device of the excrement of a patient and weak and old people comprises a washing and crushing key input unit, a feces sensor, a water level sensor, a temperature sensor, a water pump, a display unit and a control part. An apparatus for controlling the water pump driving of the automatic processing device is provided with a flux sensor which detects the amount of the water discharged through the water pump electrically at the exit side. When an excrement automatic processing device is operated in an excrement crushing mode, the control part detects the flux of the water discharged through the exit of the water pump to compare it with the set flux set corresponding to the drive signal of the water pump under operation. If the present flux of the water discharged through the exit of the water pump is less than the set flux, the output of the water pump is controlled so as to increase it to the set flux by the determined rate (X %).
