A positioning estimation method of a mobile node in a wireless sensor network is provided to construct a location recognition wireless sensor network without using a very minute local oscillator and a separate network sync unit, thereby realizing more accurate location estimation about the mobile node. Frequency tolerance is calculated according to time information and a clock frequency respectively corresponding to fixed node pairs(706). The time information is corrected based on the frequency tolerance and a distance between nodes. A difference of a time when a signal of the mobile node is received is calculated(708). A location of the mobile node is estimated by applying a distance difference corresponding to the calculated time difference to a TDOA(Time Difference Of Arrival)(714).
