METHOD FOR KEY MANAGEMENT OF WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK

A method for managing a key of a wireless sensor network is provided to improve energy efficiency of a sensor node by using a protocol based on a broadcast in a sensor network environment. Initial keys of a sensor network are set by performing an initializing process. An ID of a region group i of a sensor node, a secret key of a region group i, an ID of a virtual group within the region group i, and a shared secret key of a VGi group within a RGi group are generated by performing a group key setting process. A sensor node calculates a distance from a reference point of a wireless sensor network and a coordinate of a sensor node by using position information measured of a GPS data. The sensor node sets the ID of the region group(RG1~RG4) i of the sensor node by using distance, coordinate, pattern, and size information. Each key is generated by broadcasting a sensor node A into all adjacent nodes.
